Major Regions of Africa
In this lesson, you will be creating and labeling a map of Africa. Please read all directions carefully before you begin!
Supplies needed: a printer, colored pencils, and an iPad or Computer. 1. Click here for a copy black and white image (top right) of Africa. Once it opens, print a copy of the picture. Be sure you have colored pencils ready to use. 2. Click on the Educreations video (bottom right). You will need to watch the video, and follow all directions given throughout it. You may pause the video or watch it as many times as needed to complete the assignment. 4. When your map is completed, turn it into the Social Studies assignment tray in class. Be sure to put your name and date on your map! Your completed map will be graded on the following items: 1. Map Title 2. The 5 regions are colored or shaded differently from each other. 3. A map key is included, showing the names of the different regions. 4. Five facts are given for the Western Africa region, listing the ways that people made a living, family structure, and growth of the states, towns, and trades. (History Alive: America's Past!
